Happy Spring :)

Hello lovelies! I've so missed blogging this month! Now that it is Spring (I know it's late) I've really wanted to do some more DIYs and organization as spring cleaning starts and whatnot.  However, I'll be taking my finals this week, and so as soon as they're over with, I'll have plenty of time to start trying out all of the ideas i've found.

I thought for today, I would go ahead and share a few different fashion ideas I found on Pinterest and really liked for the spring time :)

I really love the use of the denim jacket in this one, and the pop of color in the red jeans!

This maxi skirt is so beautiful, and would go with so much!!

Mint green is one of my favorite colors, not just for spring, but all the time.  This outfit is really simple, but it looks so classy.

Hope this has given you some inspiration for different looks you can create for spring!

xoxo, Rebecca

I Love Fall

Happy fall ya'll!!! As we were returning from a trip, we drove through the mountains and the temperature dropped as we got higher (52 degrees) and when we stopped and got out of the car, it made me realize how much i missed fall!! I am kinda obsessed with boots and pea coats...(some of you have probably realized that already ;)...So i tried really hard to make a fall outfit without boots, but as you will see, i needed my boots.  Where i live its still pretty warm, but has gotten much cooler. (70-75 degrees)  I am hoping that it will cool down, and that our winter will break 40 degrees. Anyway, I designed a cute fall fashion aaaaannnnnndddddd, click HERE to try a wonderfully delicious recipe for pumpkin squares. I always think that their sort of like the fall version of brownies. haha!

The earrings are little fall leaves, and the sweater i thought was the perfect shade of orange :)

Random Stuff

Hello friends! Sorry not posting for so long again. Things have been busy.  We haven't done much this week, but two weeks ago, I went to a weekend piano camp type of thing and it was at a college.  I had a few classes on music theory, and rhythm and stuff, and I had one lesson with one of the professors at the college, then at then end there was a little recital.

Two weeks ago my mom ordered me a new devotion, and so far I love it! It's called How to Study You Bible by Kay Arthur. It comes with a workbook with questions and other stuff, that go along with the regular devotion book.

I'm also gonna give a little fashion tip today.  I've created an outfit, that you can dress it up, or keep it casual, by just adding or taking away a few little accessories :) (The purse in the picture is actually the same purse I have, and I love it!!

One last thing I wanted to post, was a pic of my mom's valentines day wreath she made! I think it is just adorable!

Sorry it's a little bit short, but that's it for now!

It's Been a Long Time...

Hello everyone! Again, sorry it's been a long time since I last posted. The truth is, we just haven't done anything that exciting or worth blogging about this past week. We have just been hitting the books hard, and focusing on getting back into the swing of things.  Today, I'm gonna do kind of a combined post of a few different things.

First of all, last week I had a group piano lesson, and it was awesome! We have them once a month, and all of her students will meet together one Saturday a month and play our music pieces for each other, and we will get feedback on what to work on - it's really helpful.  Anyway, the group lesson we had last week was a special one. Ms. Covert, a friend of my teacher, who is pretty well-known, came to give us helpful tips on how to practice, and different techniques to try, to get more out of our practice sessions.

The next thing i'm gonna post is a fashion post - colored pants!

Colored pants (or jeans) are I think super stylish, and are kind of the opposite of dark pants and a colored top. It makes your outfit look new and fresh! (And if you would like a real example other than the pics below, I'm wearin' colored pants in the pic above ^^^)

Have a great week!

P.S - if you have not seen the new Eye on It music video,  click HERE to see it!

Fashion Friday: Scarf's

Hello friends! Whew, this week has been crazy! Today i've arranged a collection of different scarfs! I just got a new scarf last week, and it inspired me to do a scarf post.  Scarfs are SO in, and they can accessorize any plain outfit, by adding some, texture and color.  They go great with casual jeans, or something more dressy.  Plus, if it is cold where you live, it's keeps you nice and cozy :) Enjoy!

Love this one!

This one is my FAVORITE!

Fashion Friday: Aunt Kathleen Makeover

Hey friends! Do I have a fun post for you today! I decided to do something special for my Aunt Kathleen.  Her collection of button-down shirts, and comfortable jeans must be traded in for something more fashion forward.  My aunt is the sweetest person, which is exactly why we need to help her out, okay?  Lets show her that you can be comfortable AND look supper chic. But first, lets take a look at something she would normally wear...

Lets talk about the above picture.  The jeans are cute, but dark wash jeans, normally tend to look a little more dressy. The sneakers, well, haven't you ever heard that beauty is pain? Wear those wedge boots! Now the "purse". Well, if you want your hands to be free, a cross body purse, definitely fits the bill, and won't hinder your stomach.  With that being said, lets take a look at the outfit I have chosen, as the after...

If you've noticed, the bracelet is actually a watch! And the top, is actually a stretchy, comfortable, knit top!Well, I hoped you have enjoyed this little virtual fashion makeover, and happy shopping :)

Fashion Friday: Belts, Belts, and More Belts!

Today I have a fun post for ya'll! I have been inspired to write this post, by my own personal experiences! Belts.  Below are three different outfits, and each one has the same belt incorporated into it.  I just wanted to show that  you don't need to by ten thousand belts, one for each outfit. I'm not saying that you can't have a few, but this is a simple way to change it up a bit, without spending too much money. (belts can be expensive) I just took a black belt (one almost identical to the one I have) and put it on average outfits, school outfits, church clothes, or dressier clothes!

I hope these tips were somewhat helpful to you, and have a great weekend!

Fashion Design

As you probably remember in another post I did, I wrote about a virtual fashion makeover.  Well, the other day, my mom asked if she could design an outfit for me.  I told her she could and I now got her addicted to the website too :) She designed me two, beautiful outfits, one fancy, one casual, and then she did one that wasn't meant for me but still, pretty cute!

A casual outfit I could wear to class. Don't you just LOVE the purse?!

Something I could wear to my Christmas piano recital.

"Dinner of the Pier" as she named this one :)

Now, didn't my mother do a lovely job?!

P.S - If you would like the name of the website it is called polyvore.com . Thank you Isabelle for sharing the website with me :)

Virtual Fahion Make-Over: Mom

Disclaimer: Everything said in this post was done with the permission of my mother.

Hello Friends! Today I have a special treat for you: A Virtual Fashion Makeover of my mother :) Lets take a look...

This stay-at-home mom, LoriAnne, would rather wear sweatpants and sneakers, than explore the wonders of real fashion. "It's just so comfortable." says LoriAnne, mother of four. Well, it is possible to dress lovely and still be comfortable. Her hideous collection of tee-shirts, will be traded in for modern-chic style.
Will LoriAnne be willing to throw-out the old, and have a fresh new start? stayed tuned as this mom goes from, sweat-pant savvy, to, modern mom.

She probably could have chose a more suitable attire, because paparazzi lurks everywhere!

This, is what LoriAnne is caught wearing 24/7

This is the change she was willing to make!
NO more tee-shirts, and say YES to denim, leather, and jewelery!
